The Celebranteers offer a variety of ceremonies to suit all types and levels of LOVE!

Something truly magical happens in the ceremony area created and dressed for the occasion. The ceremony circle serves as a backdrop for the most memorable and romantic Medieval Ceremonies to celebrate LOVE.

Handfasting Wedding Ceremonies and simple Handtyings are available along with an Engagement, Vow Renewal Ceremony and Friendship Ceremonies for children and adults.

In addition, on offer are special Handwashing and massage therapies; these go ‘hand in hand’ with the Handtyings and make a most suitable ‘addon’.

These ceremonies take place over the three days of Festival. It is advisable to book early to save disappointment, as they get booked up early.

Terms & Conditions

  2. All bookings are subject to the availability on the day.
  3. All booking are subject to the availability of the most suitable celebrant.
  4. All bookings must start and finish within the booked time slot.
  5. All ceremony bookings are public, unless it is stated that you wish for a more private celebration.
  6. All ceremonies are subject to minor changes in content.
  7. Full details of ceremony content will be found at the Celebranteers pitch or by speaking with them!
  8. WET WEATHER. All ceremonies will take place on time
  9. Should the weather dictate, the ceremonies will be held in the Medieval Ceremony tent

Standing before the Festival Officiate in period attire, the couple exchanges vows that speak of love, loyalty, and commitment, echoing the solemnity and beauty of medieval poetry. Include an exchange of rings, a handfasting (binding hands with ribbon or cord), or a drink from a shared goblet to symbolize unity and the joining of two lives. Offer your guests a memorable experience, transporting them to a bygone era of knights and courtly love. Guided by our Festival Officiate, friends will take part in a simple and symbolic ritual where each participant crafts a colourful wrist braid and exchanges it with their chosen friend. During the ceremony, participants are invited to speak a few words, make promises, or simply share a moment of appreciation. Handfasting Ribbon Braid Workshop 29, 30 or 31 Aug 2026 (Walk-in Only)
Create your own handfasting ribbon braid at this drop-in workshop, perfect for couples preparing for their ceremony or anyone who wants to craft a symbolic keepsake. Braid together colourful ribbons or cords to represent your union or intentions—bring your own materials for a personal touch (2 metres recommended) or choose from our selection of provided ribbons. You can also opt to make prayer bracelets or small charm braids instead. A peaceful, creative moment within the festival that adds heartfelt meaning to your ceremonial experience.
