Experiences & Masterclass Workshops

Our Experiences & Masterclass Workshops offer the opportunity to learn traditional skills from our experienced Masters. These hands-on sessions allow participants to explore historic crafts and trades in a guided workshop setting, stepping beyond simply watching demonstrations to learn the techniques, tools, and traditions behind them. In many workshops, participants will also create something of their own to take home as a lasting memory of the experience.

Learn from a Master Scribe the basic art of medieval Calligraphy. Practice the alphabet, have a go at writing and take away your own certificate. All materials are provided, and your quill is yours to keep, along with a guide to Anglo-Saxon writing. Scribe scholars also get a discount on calligraphy supplies from the stall. Suitable for older children and adults. Younger children are welcome but may require help from an adult.
